Pastoral Leadership

Apostle Harold and Pastor Debra Scott founded New Hope Tabernacle of Joy over 27 years ago, driven by a shared calling to serve God’s people. Apostle Scott was ordained as an evangelist in 1987, and Pastor Debra was ordained as a minister in 1983. Following their marriage on June 22, 1996, they began the purposeful journey that led to the formal establishment of this ministry in 1999. Since then, they have faithfully utilized their prophetic and five-fold ministry gifts to guide their congregation. After serving in various locations over the years, they were blessed with the ministry’s current home in 2014, where they continue to lead with humility and devotion.

Pastor Leslie and Dr. Shareca Strader bring a wealth of experience to their ministry, having served the Lord faithfully in various capacities for many years. Pastor Leslie, who grew up in a ministry home, began his service over a decade ago and holds a Master’s degree in Ministry with a concentration in Biblical and Christian Counseling. Dr. Shareca Strader has been in ministry since 1999 and has served as our Youth Pastor since 2007. She holds multiple Master’s degrees in Counseling as well as a Doctorate in Theology with a concentration in Biblical and Christian Counseling. In addition to her pastoral work, she serves as a licensed therapist across multiple states.
